Stephen received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), with a double major in Graphic Design and Industrial Design.

He was awarded the Bo Berstein Award for "Excellence in Graphic Design" from RISD. Stephen founded yolkdesign, an art and design studio located in Hong Kong.
